Language company offers to come to goalie’s rescue

Berkshire-based language services company Prestige Network has stepped in to offer the services of its interpreters to Dundee United for its new Slovakian goalie Dusan Pernis’ media interviews.

BBC Scotland’s Jim Spence conducted an interview with Dusan yesterday (Thursday 10 December), which is now posted at http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/8407103.stm with the heading:
‘a reporter should know when to give up’. Dusan admitted during the interview that his English is not very good.

After seeing the interview online, Shawn Khorassani (Business Development and Strategy Director of language services company Prestige Network) contacted the club, offering the services of a Slovakian interpreter.

The club jokingly replied that there was an urgent need, but it was for the Scottish reporter!
