dont drink drive many languages translation

In April 2010 the issue of drink driving was raised at The Royal College of Nursing’s annual congress, after delegates argued for a complete ban on consuming alcohol before driving and the introduction of a zero alcohol limit.

As you may be aware, the current legal limit for drivers across Britain is 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.  However, in most European countries the limit is 50mg or lower.  There is a zero alcohol limit in Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Language company offers to come to goalie’s rescue

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Berkshire-based language services company Prestige Network has stepped in to offer the services of its interpreters to Dundee United for its new Slovakian goalie Dusan Pernis’ media interviews.

BBC Scotland’s Jim Spence conducted an interview with Dusan yesterday (Thursday 10 December), which is now posted at http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/8407103.stm with the heading:
‘a reporter should know when to give up’. Dusan admitted during the interview that his English is not very good.

After seeing the interview online, Shawn Khorassani (Business Development and Strategy Director of language services company Prestige Network) contacted the club, offering the services of a Slovakian interpreter.

The club jokingly replied that there was an urgent need for translation services, but it was for the Scottish reporter!
